Transformational leadership occurs when the leader is able to support and inspire his/her followers in order to generate positive change.
One movie character that I believe truly embodies transformational leadership is John Keating (played by Robin Williams) from the movie Dead Poets Society. Through his motivational speeches, out-of-the-box thinking, and mutual respect for his students, Keating is able to reinvent the way they his students think and learn. As shown in the clip below, Keating’s influence on his students is transformational and everlasting.
