Welcome to my new Self Development/ Leadership blog! This is where I will document my leadership journey throughout my final semester at San Diego State University.
I am currently a Senior at San Diego State University studying Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meetings and Event Management.
I have had a passion for the Hospitality industry since I began my first job at Lost Canyons Golf Club at the age of sixteen. After three years of working at Lost Canyons, I was accepted into the Disney College Program and spent a semester interning with the Walt Disney Company at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park. Following this internship, I worked as a sales supervisor and art teacher at As You Wish Pottery before transferring to San Diego State University in August 2018.
During my time in San Diego I have learned a great deal about the Hospitality and Tourism industry through classes, co curricular activities, student organizing involvement, and a amazing study abroad opportunity. I have also completed various internships over the past two years to gain valuable hands-on experience within the San Diego Hospitality Industry, including time spent working with the Phocuswright Conference, Hampton Inn, Mission Valley property, KAABOO Del Mar Music & Art Festival, Wonderfront Music & Art Festival, Quartyard, and the San Diego Convention Center.
